Most plugins answer this by removing cash on delivery, which costs you the customers who only buy that way. NCB Customer Trust & Privileges takes the opposite route: cash on delivery stays, but it goes to the customers who have earned it. MEMBERSHIP BUILT ON A REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT Customers pay a deposit once, at a price you set, and become members. The deposit is never your revenue: you owe it back and return it whenever they ask. That single payment is what separates a serious buyer from a passing click. PRIVILEGES THAT MAKE MEMBERSHIP WORTH IT Cash on delivery with nothing upfront is the main one. On top of it you can switch on a birthday discount, a reward after a number of orders, a free or discounted gift product, free shipping from a lower threshold, and priority handling. How it works

A customer pays a small deposit once, for example 10 euros, and becomes a member. The money stays with you and is returned whenever they ask for it. While they are a member, they pay by cash on delivery as usual, with nothing upfront, plus any other privileges you choose to give them.

Customers who are not members see cash on delivery with prepayment instead: they pay the shipping and the cash-on-delivery fee upfront by bank transfer or instant payment, and the value of the goods to the courier on delivery. If they never collect the parcel, you have already covered your cost.

When a member fails to collect a parcel, you record it with one click inside the order. Their deposit is not returned and their membership ends.

Everything is controlled with switches in the WordPress admin. Setup takes about fifteen minutes and the plugin ships with a full user manual.
